GAIA Hit Nitz 4 6 provides an easy, effective, two - step system to help control head lice.
Our products are free from artificial fragrance, silicon oils and animal ingredients.
To control a head lice infestation, use both the Once Off Lotion and the Daily Control Spray. Use the Once Off Lotion as directed to treat the live lice in the hair. There will still be eggs in the hair after treatment that will hatch over the next 7 - 10 days. To manage the baby lice (nymphs) as they hatch, follow up for a minimum of 10 days with the Daily Control Spray as directed to help break the head lice cycle. Continue using the Daily Control Spray each morning thereafter if head lice are in the school or community.
If you don't need to treat a head lice infestation but there are head lice in the school or community, use the Daily Control Spray each morning as directed to help keep head lice at bay.
How to Use
Shake before use.
Apply generously to DRY hair and massage through thoroughly, ensuring all strands of hair and scalp are coated with the lotion. Apply twice as much as you would a conditioner. As the lotion must contact the head lice to work, do not comb the lotion through as this may comb the lotion away from the head lice and impede the effectiveness of the Once Off Lotion.
Leave in for a minimum of 4 hours, or overnight, and wash out with water. Follow with Daily Control Head Lice Spray for a minimum of 10 days to help break the head lice cycle.
The Once Off Lotion only treats the live head lice in the hair. After treatment, you may notice that there are both brown and white eggs in the hair. The brown eggs will usually be close to the scalp and the white eggs will tend to be further down the hair. Brown eggs contain a baby louse (nymph) and white eggs are dead or hatched and cannot continue the head lice cycle. The brown eggs in the hair will hatch over the 7 - 10 days after treatment with Once Off Lotion. To help break the head lice cycle and control the baby lice that will hatch after treatment, follow the Once Off Lotion with Daily Control Head Lice Spray for a minimum of 10 days to control the head lice cycle. Concentrate spray behind the ears, the nape of the neck and on any brown eggs you can see, as well as spraying the hair overall. Remember - white eggs are dead or hatched so you do not need to worry about these. Continue to use Daily Control Spray daily thereafter if head lice are in the school or community.
There is no need to comb the hair with a nit comb after treatment, as the Daily Control Spray controls and manages the head lice cycle.
One bottle of Once Off Head Lice Lotion will treat 2 children with short hair or 1 child with long hair.
Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist see your doctor/healthcare professional.
